....after getting drilled by a pitch. I hope he's able to get back up to speed really quick!

Just had a Dr explain the type of surgery he had and why. Because of where the pitch hit him (below the knee) it caused compartment syndrome. Basically the swelling had nowhere to go and it began pressing on nerves. That's why he had lost some feeling down his leg. Cohen even mentioned his in postgame. If it wasn't relived right away, permanent damage would set in and he could've lost use of lower leg. Crazy how serious it actually turned out.

This same doc had a friend that had the exact same thing happen to, except the friend was in a remote area and the hospital couldn't perform the necessary surgery. He cannot use his leg from knee down.

Not something to play around with for sure. Yet when civildawg raised this question yesterday he got beat on for being overly dramatic about the situation when he was just trying to verify what he heard. Which ended up being exactly what happened. Sometimes it's best to just observe.

Didn't Cohen say that he could be back as early as this weekend?

Didn't Cohen say that he could be back as early as this weekend?

That would probably depend upon the extent of the fasciotomy performed.

Civildawg's post was completely undramatic.
