Louisiana's Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority could take a vote by the end of 2015 on whether to move forward with plans to build and operate a major diversion of Mississippi River sediment and water to rebuild wetlands on both sides of the river, authority Executive Director Kyle Graham said Monday.

about time!!!!! I don't know the voice of the locals or fishermen down there, but it makes sense to do all they can to protect and grow the wetlands in that area. completely mind-boggling the amount of wetlands lost due to erosion each year on the coast as a result of the weather, river, and ocean.
