Spring training is almost here. Here's a few things to keep an eye on...

1. Peraza -- can he make the club on opening day?

2. Almonte -- he was outstanding in winterball. Can he continue it and give us a solid platoon in LF with gomes?

3. 5th starter -- candidates are wandy, stults, and foltynewicz.

4. Jim Johnson and grilli -- can McDowell work his magic with these two veterans

5. Chris Johnson and bj -- can seitzer get something out of these two?

6. Minor -- which one will be here? First half last year that was terrible or the better one in the 2nd half?

7. Shelby miller -- see minor

Not a lot of expectations, but I'm excited

Looking forward to just turning on the tv and seeing the Braves play each evening. They don't look promising but have had some excellent in Trustmark Park the past two years or so.

No reason to bring up Peraza or Folty. Undermines the whole strategy of waiting for 2017. Call them up in June if they are ready.

Add manny banuelos to the 5th starter competition.

I would love for banuelos, folty, and Jenkins to break out. That would allow us to trade minor at break assuming we're out of contention
