The brown's, green, Jung, dez Harris, gray, and leo... I love this group. I can't help but think how well Diaz did with our lb's last time he was here. I think we're gonna be really, really dynamic with this position group

I would have loved to see what Diaz could have done with a mature McKinney.

as crazy as it sounds, it was time for BMac to move on. We've got guys ready to play that need to get reps.

I would love to see us slide Dez down to stand up rush DE. He has the size and speed 6'4 245 Technique im sure would be an issue but
I want as many as these guys on the field as possible..

I just wish we would've blitzed/played BMac at DE more last year and had the browns and Wells on the field with him at the same time. Instead we took him off the field, subbed in Zach Jackson, etc and our backup DEs. Would think we would like to have had our best players on the field at the same time. Oh well I guess now the shackles are off and the LBs are ready to let loose, as well as experienced.

If we keep Zach zackson out of coverage, can he be a good player?

Ha. Poor kid got abused this year.

Poor scheme by Collins. You should never have Zach 1-on-1 with a WR with no safety help over the top.

You should never use him covering a WR period.

We should never have seen 0-coverage all year and probably should never have seen any cover-1, but that's exactly what Collins did to our S's this season. I know we're talking about LB's, but he put us in terrible positions in pass coverage all season.

I'm not sure how you keep him out of coverage. I guess you only bring him in to blitz. You can't run a true 4-3 with 3 traditional LB's anymore. You can against LSU, but that's about it. You have to have a hybrid guy in the spot opposite B. Brown. I would look to JT Gray and Traver Jung to compete for the spot that Matt Wells left. I would let Zach back up B. Brown and really focus on being a specialist on special teams.

I liked Collins, but his idea of a "Psycho defense" is different than mine. He was just too conservative. Hopefully, Manny will bring back that intense and aggressive defense we all want.

In Jackson's defense he played really well for us 2 seasons ago. He's not a bad player, but did get stuck in bad situations this season.

Collins was a different coach this year. But he was a coach we all begged to get a raise in 2013. Hopefully Diaz sticks around this time. There is one good thing about Diaz..... he likes to pressure the qb, which in return, causes a lot of turnovers. That's something we missed. I don't think we did an all out blitz once in 2014.

We'll see Green blitzing off the edge more than Harris. Harris played qb in high school and really knows how to read an offense. He'll be a better LB in coverage. He's got a little bit of a temper though..... so he may get flagged every now and then, but that's not always a bad thing.
