On the official Bios that MSU released, Dontea is actually listed as being bigger than both DT signees Fletcher Adams and Kendall Jones.

Is this kid going to be some kind of Gronkowski freak at TE or something?

At that size, it would seem to me that he could block and go out for passes.... However, I'm not an expert on TE play and what it takes to be elite there.

He's of similar size to Donald Lee FWIW

It's not a really good 260...his injuries have been a setback...

We're going to shred him to 245 IMO...

No doubt. FWIW Donald Lee played in the NFL at 6'4" 248.

So, needless to say, Jones seems to be the right size to be a versatile TE

I wish he could play receiver. I like the huge receivers. I also hope Peters stays at safety. All signs seem to point to it. Seems like he's probably going to start at safety.

He is the TE of the future- no doubt about it

Not so sure about Kendall Jones's weight. He looks fairly plump in his photos today.

Adams tho.. That dude knows where the weight room is.

Peters will not start at Safety the first half of 2015- I promise you that. He will play and be a 1B. 2nd half of the year? Who knows

Dontea is in my top 5 favorite signees this year. He is going to be a playmaker at TE. TE is the toughest position to play in our offense other than QB, but if he can figure it out, he will play as a True Freshman.

Here's my Top 5:

1. Peters
2. Rankin
3. Leo
4. Gray
5. Dontea Jones

Fck the 1B bullshit. Play the best players. Our 3 best safeties are Bryant, Peters, and Coman. No one else should see the field.

I like him. However, I'll put him in the least likely category to play as a true fr. He's been injured, hasn't played a lot of fotball and is big time out of shape. He will hit the fr wall quick come August.

What about Tim Washington? They had him at 6'3" 183. Did he play his HS career at that light of a weight?

All the weights are based off of what they weighed on their official visits.

Washington only played about 5 games his senior year due to his school being on academic probation. Washington is going to have to fill out to be able to compete at this high of a level.

Teach him that a TE who blocks well with his size will be in the NFL. Also remember the words of Auburn coach Doug Barfield, "One of the very few standard truths of football is that the TE is always open."

If Market heals well he is right there in the 2 deep.

Mullen says DE Anfernee Mullins (Aliceville, Al.) "Might be the No. 1 player in the country if you put him in Dallas." Small-school guy.

I think that's a tough injury to come back from especially for a player who is limited from a physical standpoint.

Maybe but he is also the type of guy who has a tendency to defy the odds. He is just such a football player that I don't count him out just yet.

Said it before and I'll say it again -- run the young guys out there at safety. I'd rather see mental mistakes from young guys with elite potential than see a bunch of upperclassmen just getting beat all over the field....

Didnt he hurt his Achilles? Put on speedbridge on it on let him heal. Market will be ready to go.Its not 1992 anymore. Orthropedics has some good shit now...add some PRP and he will be starting vs USM
