I'm not convinced he ever has good info on the guys outside Mississippi. I think it's possible he just predicts anyone who shows OM decent interest to them, and hopes his lucky years make up for the unlucky years in the minds of the faithful.

Exactly. He misses a lot, especially early; he just got lucky in 2011 and 2013 so everyone assumes he has good info. He's just another David Johnson.
