#18 Bulldogs vs #6 Lady Vols Game Thread

Game can be seen on SEC Network and tip is set for 2:00 PM CST. Tennessee currently has a 35-0 series record against Mississippi State. The game is at Thompson-Boling Arena and will be the Bulldogs' first true road test of the season. Last year, the Bulldogs weren't quite able to squeak out the victory as they fell 67-63 in the Hump. This team is a lot better than last year's, and I feel that this is the year that we finally beat Tennessee. This is the beginning of a three-game ranked stretch for the Bulldogs, two of which are on the road. If we can win this game, the momentum will be tremendous and the crowd will be massive for the #12 Texas A&M game at home on February 8. This would also accelerate us in the rankings if we could pull off this huge upset.

I think Vic was keeping her fresh for the second half. I expect Morgan to be running around A LOT in the second half. I'm trusting Vic right now with his plan. He knows what it takes.

We gave it hell and played well in spurts, had some uncharacteristic lapses particularly opening the second half. Good learning experience for the freshwomens. Just gotta regroup and get ready for TAMU at the Hump next Sunday. Need to pack the Hump, help them gals rebound from this.
