Who knows Max Bartlett of Starkville?

Goes to Gulf Coast JC signed w Tennessee. Says he is a shortstop.

I know of him, but not personally. He went to Starkville High and was a good player in high school. I thought he was more of a mid major type of prospect though.

I know him pretty well, it's Gulf Coast State in Panama City. He's a pretty smooth fielding SS. He's always been a little behind at the plate but his bat is starting to catch up. He's a good player w/ a chance to be really good the stronger he gets. He had some interest out of HS from OM, USM, USA, and Samford.

On PG site he is in top 200 of JC players. Says he was drafted 36th round out of HS.

Chuck bartlett's son. He played here in early 80's. Max isn't a player for us, unless he has improved 100 times over.

He will be drafted again this year. He's a 2 yr starter on the #4 JC in the country by PG. IF you were going to compare him to one of our guys it would be Heck.

Solid fundamentals...has had them since junior high. When he hit his growth spurt in high school is talent really showed thru. Excellent defender but last time I saw him his arm was a weakness. Extremely solid at the plate but I wouldn't call him a top tier SEC type player.

Ok. Tennessee signed him for depth apparently. Hey, he is in the sec if he goes to college.

Sometimes players benefit from JUCO. He may be a lot better now than when I saw him in high school.
