The women will look to avenge their first loss of the season as they face off against Vanderbilt tonight at 7. The Lady Bulldogs at 21-2 played a very good game against a weakened Auburn squad, who lost one of their best players to a suspension (fight vs Alabama). The last time these two met, the loss was a 78-62 ledger, and was the first loss for the 2014-2015 Lady Bulldogs squad. You could tell that this team is a fighting team, and after suffering a 2OT loss to LSU the Bulldogs went off and beat their next three opponents.

Vanderbilt leads the series at the Hump 12-11 and the overall record 36-15. A win here would be huge for the momentum of this team as this is the last game before a brutal 3-game stretch of opponents ranked no lower than 12/14, depending on the poll you look at. Only one of those three games will be in Humphrey Coliseum, a February 8 matchup against Vic Schaefer's ex-employer Texas A&M. There are only 7 games left in the regular season, which means very few opportunities to fight for a high seed in the NCAA Tournament, a foregone conclusion for this Bulldog squad.

In order to get you HYPE for this game, I present to you the latest video from HailState Productions. Also, wear white tonight if you're going. This game has been designated a white-out.

Oh now they are just taunting us now. As Vandy got on the court and began to be booed, one of he players put her hand up to her ear.

What year is that Okor(sp?) girl? She looks really tall, and is a good finisher. She came in late with the young ones off the bench.

And how about the moves on Salter? Ha, she is a super skilled athlete for a big girl. She will be fun to watch over the next few years.

Vivians finishes with 20

Got a really tough stretch coming up...hope these girls can finish strong. A win against Tennessee would be enormous

That was a fun experience. First women's game I've ever been to. Will definitely be back again. They've made a fan out of me this season.

Noticed that the Vanderbilt head coach had something to say about every call against her team. Seemed to affect the way things were called in the second half, but it didn't have any real impact.

Did I imagine it or did the Vandy coach call the female referee a "bitch"

It wouldn't surprise me. She got close to getting a technical a couple of times in the first half

Just talked to a couple of people closer to her than me...she said it.

That's uncalled for and should be an immediate ejection from the game. Can't believe that's tolerated at all.

Referees have a line in their mind. Each referee's line is different. If you cross that line, it's a technical. Maybe that ref was just going to let it slide on there, but I would have t'd her up in a heartbeat.
