Relf was hell on the rebs, Perk too.

I still get that heart-stopping feeling every time I watch him drop back to pass, even in highlights
(but don't get me wrong, relf is the man)

I just want to see the 2 back shotgun running game and i thought i saw the diamond on the goalline. If we're not going to recruit FBs anymore then let's bulk up a TE who is physical, with great hands.

Not the diamond but we would use the wishbone on the goalline

With the types of RB's we'll have next year- we will have to adjust the run game.

Perk really had a burst in 2010. Defense really laid an egg this year. We had a chance to really drive them nuts by getting another win in Oxford and going 5 out of 6.

Not talking just skill wise but has Dak passed Relf as "MSU QB" yet?

Relf has 3 Egg Bowls.. Destroyed Michigan..

Dak got us to 1 but lost a very important EggBowl and we got killed in the OB.

Relf was a Rebel killer. That one game got me so excited, Perkins killed on the screen pass with that speed. It really seemed like we totally went away from using him in that role, bulked him up and pounded him. One of the bigger head scratchers I've seen.

It's so damn obvious how much quickness/speed he lost by bulking up to attempt to be an "every down" RB. He could've been lethal in a "super athlete" role with that more trim physique and his burst.

This, sending Perk up the middle for little-to-no-gain time & again, and the propensity for Dan to go conservative way too soon were the things that got many of us somewhat fed-up with Dan last year. Let's all hope Dan learned from those mistakes and didn't just benefit from Russell & Perk graduating.

I loved the diamond and wish we would utilize a TE as a FB more often. I see a few NFL Teams running out of the diamond occasionally.

I will never forget Okie State gashing us with the diamond.....

This is a joke right? You say MSU QB and everyone's mind immediately goes to Dak. He's the first real house hold name we've had since Madkin and Wyatt.

3 Egg Bowls. 9-4 season vs 10-3 season.. 2010 tougher schedule.

Mid season it's Dak obviously but evaluating the entire body of work he hasn't accomplished what Relf did, yet. A 9+ win 2015 with Egg Bowl win and bowl win will do that but so far Relf has out-accomplished Dak.

Maybe those teams have out accomplished the current team but Relf has nothing on Dak (no offense to Relf, great bulldog).

I guess I was just unaware that Dak and Relf also played defense, blocked, and coached.

How many Heisman votes Ralph get?
How many times did Ralph lead the SEC in total offense?
How many weeks did Ralph have us #1 in the country?
How many Gameday bits were done on Ralph?
Prescott's Orange Bowl performance > Ralph's Gator Bowl....and against a better team

I loved Ralph- but C'mom Mane

Relf threw a very pretty pass when he had his feet set. Underrated passer imo.

Obviously Dak is the better talent but 3 Egg Bowls and 2010 trumps this one year of late season let down.

Big Ben > Dan Marino

I'm not going to say that I think Relf is better than Dak but I have to say you do make a pretty good point.

Ralph played 2 Fredo teams with losing records

We finished 11th in the country in 2014 and 2nd in the SEC West...2010 we were 4th in the West and finished 15th...there is no way in hell you can say 2010 was better than 2014.

No, but 2010 did include an Egg Bowl win and statement beatdown of a national power in a NYD Bowl. The two seasons are not that far apart... And then you throw in two more Egg's..

Dak has not equaled Relf's accomplishments YET. If he had beaten either GT or TSUN this year then he would have, but he didn't.

you do realize that 2 of the 3 OM teams that Relf played was AWFUL right?

Winning up there is NEVER a given.

Arkansas 30
Bears 0

TCU 42
Bears 3

Bears finished this year 1-4 vs their last 5 FBS opponents.

Look I'm not saying there is a lot of daylight between the two but this year ended in big letdowns, whereas Relf ALWAYS finished our seasons on a high note being Egg Bowls and bowl game victories.

I remember watching him warm up before a game his redshirt year, where he just stood flat footed and threw the ball about 40 yards effortlessly. I nudged my dad and told him, check out 14.. I was impressed.

Relf was to OM what John Bond was to LSU.

Dak has a bigger upside when it comes to team leadership and a more diverse ability to make plays.

Relf made it happen for us at times when we really needed him to, especially against OM. But Dan Mullen vs. Houston Nutt seems to be quite different than Mullen vs. Freeze. Nutt couldn't beat Mullen in a game of Candyland.
