It was being tweeted out by several MSU accounts, but many have since been deleted. May have been a mistake on their part. If so, my apologies.

That is awesome. I still can't find an article or anything on it, which is weird. I know rosters came out a while back, so he must have been listed as the first alternate at CB and Sherman going to the SB means he will go in his place.

It's unreal to me that we had Banks and Slay on the same team and had one of the worst pass Ds in the country that year....Unbelievable!

Can't believe Mullen didn't step in and tell Wilson to tighten up our coverages with those 2 guys and can't believe Mullen never used Slay as a kick returner given his speed and All American status from Juco. Oh well, past is the past.

All this was a great lesson for Mullen.....he would not hesitate today if the same situation presented itself.

I posted a new thread where NFL.com said that Fletcher and some others got snubbed in the Pro Bowl selection.
