Well, we just hired a better DC than LSU. Its not even a debate.

That has to sting.

After that hire, I don't want to hear anyone say that Diaz wasn't a great hire. It seems that with all the head coaching turnover each year and by how many good jobs their are now, due to more parity in the sport, the top layer of the assistant coach pool barely exist anymore.

I wonder if LSU would've offered Diaz if we didn't get him first?

And the rich get richer. As if they need anymore help recruiting #1 classes.

Yeah. We will see if it happens. Would be a very odd hire from the coaching of the LB stand point. LSU fans had began the day working themselves up about getting Smart. The melt is pretty entertaining.

I hope so. The last thing bama needs is more recruiting help. Ed O coaching lb's might weaken bama's lb's since he's for most his career coached dline

How does this affect us with Leo and Jamal? Would have to think it helps us. Leo already had a relationship with Steele and decommitted right?

I would love for Coach O to wind up at UAT, as much as folks love him for his recruiting prowess and his antics, I went back through some of his bio's and history and not one single place was he there for very long. But the common thing about O and the staffs he was associated with is that they all ended badly. His bio sort of reads like Kiffin's he just keeps on falling forward leaving a trail of eventual demise behind. So yes, Coach O to Bama would be great in my opinion.

I don't think Kevin Steele will every touch a Head Coaching job after his stint with Baylor in the late 1990's.
