Is Sword the problem? We were a decent team at the beginning of the year, then Sword comes back and the team begins to go to something that stinks. I could be wrong but I think I see a pattern.

No the problem is we can't shoot. It's that simple.

Or stay healthy, or recruit, or rebound, or make a layup or free throw (guess those last 2 fall under shooting). Our problem is we have subpar talent and an awful coach.

Well, the team chemistry along with shooting look to be a problem. Why else would certain players who were playing well seem to tank?

This all damn day. We literally do nothing well. The biggest indication of poor coaching that I see is our lack of fundamentals in the little things, i.e., the flaws our players had their freshman year are still there; no adjustments have been made.

It seems like Ray thinks that defense wins game and forgets that you have to score also to win games. Gavin Ware was 4 out of 5 from the field, when Ray benched him, because I believe his defense wasn't where Ray thought it should be or something like that.

Ray also benched Ware at the start of both halves. Ware is no doubt our best player and RR let UT get up 12-0 before putting him in. Ridiculous.

Thanks Dawg61, I missed the first part of the game because I have Directv and didn't know about the earlier part of the first half. That is pathetic though.

Our most effective 5 is:

PG: Bloodman (never would have thought it)
SG: Sword
SF: Thomas
PF: Roc Johnson
C: Ware

That should be our starting 5. Honestly, not many other guys should play. Ray is playing 10-11 guys and we aren't that deep.

Get Daniels in the game early. If Travis scores early, leave em in. If he struggles early, take em out and leave em out. You can see what Daniels is gonna give you by how he starts a game

PG is our biggest weakness on a team full of weaknesses imo

Nail meet head

His philosophy seems to be to get points off of turnovers. His offense certainly isn't creating any space to get a good shot off.

Yes, that's exactly right. Daniels should play if he's playing aggressive and hard on defense. Ready should play some. And I want us to develop Houston. That's my 8 man rotation.

I realize the PG problem but I'd like to see an experiment of...

Sword
Thomas
Daniels
Roq
Ware
with Houston as 6th man.

An experiment may be the key. Nothing else has worked.

LOL That must be a new comedy. It can't be the FL/MSU basketball game.

Maybe Ray needs to get off the scientific calculator and get a simple one that has limited calculations, such as 1 (Offense) + 1 (Defense) = 2, which may win you some games.

It's hard to say. He is stronger and thicker than Ready. I really think Ready is only 5'9 and Tookie is probably 5-10. I would say a slight upgrade due to being tougher.

Is Roq and Ware in his doghouse or something? Starting Black and Ndoye is like giving you an almost 0 probability of scoring from them. Get your calculator out Ray and do your calculations.

Yep, they did when Sword was a Senior. Sword shot 65 percent from the field, 52 percent from 3-point range and 80 percent at the foul line. -Led Carver to a 29-3 record and the Class 6A championship crown and he was Alabama Mr Basketball. It seems like most of our players were shooters in high school and then get in our basketball program and can't shoot.
