Who the heck is Incarnate Word?

What has the world come to when the basketball program at Mississippi State isn't better than UT Martin or East Tenn State. They used to be non conference cupcakes for us.

FWIW, our old friend Ricky Williams from Texas-Austin, NO Saints, Miami Dolphins, etc., is now a coach at Incarnate Word.

Old crazy ass Run Ricky Run would do a better job as our basketball coach

There are moments watching this team I actually wonder are they are better than any D1 teams.

I feel bad for the players and the coaches. It's not like I think they aren't trying.

I used to love state basketball. Went to several games a year. Listened to every game on the radio. Planned my daily honeymoon schedule around the 2002 NCAA tourney. New all the palyers stats. Followed recruiting.

Now I can't name a single player by name. Not one. I have no idea what our record is. I have no idea who or when we play again. This is the first thread on here about basketball I have even clicked on. I simply do not care.

Seriously 5 years ago I would get upset or happy over games. Get nervous during them. I can't tell you a damn thing about our team this year.

Embarrassing but not as embarrassing as shooting 44 free throws and still only scoring 48 points.

I am exactly the same way. I didn't miss a home game during my time in Starkville. From 2001-05 I saw every game from pretty much the same seats. Waited in line on Monday mornings for tickets. Borrowed people's ids to get extras for people who had class. Hell I skipped class to wait in a line that went from the Bryan building to the Sanderson. The fanbase was crazy.

Now I know very little about this team. I want to get interested, but all I need is some sort of spark. Something. Anything. I watched my first full game yesterday since we lost to UNC in the first round of the NIT at the hump. Our team hustles on d, but our offensive philosophy may be the worst I have seen. At least the worst executed. It looks like we actively try not to work for baskets. If we drive the lane and its not there we better just dribble it out of bounds.
