Malzahn has given Muschamp full ownership of the defense..... this includes coaching changes.

Yep. And I didn't disagree with the move either.

Melvin likely rides off into the sunset. He had a great career and did a lot for MSU. Cheers Melvin

Sounds like he may end up at the Plantation as an off the field "coach"...

We can laugh, but I'd have loved to have Melvin back here in that capacity. Just not as CB coach.

Any chance we could hire Melvin and Manny since we obviously aren't getting O and Manny? Melvin is basically "Orgeron Lite" when it comes to recruiting, isn't he?

I think that's why he is not here still. He went to lite with recruiting. He got pretty lazy the last few years if I recall correctly.

Auburn brought him in to help recruiting in MS and nothing ever materialized. Ole Miss floating rumors that's theyre interviewing him. I'd fully support OM hiring him. It would have less than zero in-state recruiting impact
