About midway down. Does it mean nothing or does it mean everything?

I believe he has already signed a contract

I agree. Doesn't make sense to issue a statement like that unless you've got something lined up already

Something is definitely up, because you know Ed loves some gumbo.

Well, we can just get whoever it is that does that mean gumbo, that the board talks about at the tailgate to fix him up some.

I'd love to see O walking our sideline tonight in MSU attire talking to players and coaches. That would really let the gator outta the bag.

No need to announce before the bowl game

Could it be possible for both Coach O and Coach Pendergrast be coming? They have worked together before.

announcing before the bowl game would potentially take away the defensive staff's ability to command the defense, game plan, and concentrate on this game.

When is the absolute best time to announce?

I'm thinking Friday.

Pendergrast isn't coming to State..... more LSU bound. Coach O is pretty much set in place right now. It'll be interesting to see how we align the defensive coaching staff next year. Is Durkin finalized at Michigan yet?

Monday. News cycles end on Friday. Announce it Monday when the wildcard playoffs are over

Little early to say Pendergast is going anywhere. They just started reaching out today and I would expect he waits until the NFL jobs start shaking out. Especially on the west coast.

I agree with Monday, only would say Friday because of recruits. I don't want the weekend with no DC.

Word around Dallas is that Marinelli's loyalty to Lovie Smith has him departing after the season. Pendergast is well thought of by Jones and Garrett. Has been on the staff before. He also DC'd Arizona's Super Bowl run. I could see him waiting to see what happened there as well.

Yep. That's true as well. Well thought of around the league. Could even make a second stop in Arizonia if their DC ends up a HC somewhere. I would love to have him though.

This weekend isn't important concerning recruits.

What about TCU's DC? Seems like he is pretty good.

Well he does and he's got a pretty good gig going in Ft. Worth.

Yep. As head coach.
