Q. Jay, senior season, I'm going to ask you probably the most important question anybody has had to ask you. In all your years at Mississippi State, who's been the guy on the team that's easiest to intercept in practice?

JAY HUGHES: Tyler Russell.

You guys are being absurd.

What was the context of the question?

My guess is that, since Hughes and Russell have been playing against each other since high school and are probably very good friends, Hughes was just joking and ribbing Tyler.

Tyler is likely laughing about this. The biggest mistake that we make as fans is thinking we know what's going on and understand the relationships between players on the team.

You guys are blowing it up for nothing. Jay and Tyler are friends. Tyler is no longer on the team. Jay isn't going to say it is any of the current QB's, and Tyler will take it as a joke.

Watch the video linked above. It's all in good fun. Both Bob and Jay had HUGE grins on their faces as the question was asked and answered. Hell...the last half of the "segment" was Turtle Holmes running the mic and asking the questions.

Get a grip, guys.

All in fun or not, it's still a stupid question. I'm not worked up over it, but I do think it's bad taste. After watching the video I realize it's in fun, but doesn't make it funny.

In hindsight wish I knew it was Bob doing his daily video. Definitely not a big deal, just thought it was interesting when reading through an entire transcript of quotes.
