If you're a proud American, and like study WWII history, you'll want to see this film. If you're not a strong patriot, or don't understand what the Greatest Generation was all about, I strongly urge you to see this film.

It wasn't perfect, but from my estimation they did an excellent job depicting the conditions of POW treatment in Japanese Kempeitai style camps. The experience Louis Zamperini went through and his perseverance is hugely inspirational for anyone. I wish all of our student athletes would see this together.

I saw it with my Father and Brother. Goodness...that's a powerful freaking movie. I love the emotions that they played with. But one thing I didn't like was the constant flashbacks, but hey...to each their own.

Read the book.

Does someone have to say this in every conversation about a movie?
