The uncertainty at Utah got me thinking about their coaches and I looked up Football Outsiders ratings and saw that their special teams ranked number 5 in their F/+ index.
Importantly, their were several teams that ranked highly that have uncertainty. UAB ranked 3rd and Nebraska ranked 7th. Also of interest, Memphis ranked 2nd.
As much as Mullen commented about field position being a problem in our two losses, one would hope he wold want to do something about it in the offseason. BTW, we were ranked 48th by Football Outsiders. They use a sophisticated model that they have developed. If you want an explanation, please go to their site.
