He'll probably end up with a pretty damn good head gig somewhere out west, but this still bears watching IMO. If they actually fired him(which would be pretty dumb, but it seems he's losing the booster structure and AD and this article isn't going to be very popular), it would make sense for Mullen to call him immediately and test those waters as our DC. He's shown to prefer going back into his own coaching tree when possible. Did so with Gonzo and Johnson. Whittingham may and probably wouldn't be willing to take that "demotion" -- but we'd probably make the call...
