Joe didn't choose to be ranked a 4 star out of high school, that was the recruiting sites. The 4 star rating and his size created immediate unrealistic expectations throughout the fan base, when those weren't met everyone started hating on him. Fact is Joe was what he was, a tall, skinny 18 year old kid that needed 2-3 years of refining his routes and doing work in the weight room before he could contribute. He hasn't gotten in any trouble and seems to be a good kid and teammate. Also I think a light started to turn on for him this year and I fully expect him to be a strong 2nd team contributor next year. After the amount of shit he received early in his career because of some completely unrealistic immediate expectations set for him by some "experts", I believe ole Stonehands deserves a little bone toss. Can't wait to see him continue to reach his full potential and prove the haters wrong.

I like Morrow. I actually think he will be named a starter next year, although no doubt Ross may see more reps and be more productive.

Matt Wyatt says morrow is our best blocking wr behind johnson. If true, morrow may be a starter in rojo's spot

If you look at some of the highlight videos from last year, Morrow had some very key blocks last year. He does stand out on film as a blocker.

With Mullen putting a lot of stock into blocking ability and seniority I could see Morrow being listed as a starter next year and good for him/well deserved. But when a big play is needed I fully expect Fred Ross to be in the game. Either way, our receiving corp next year is STACKED. My how far that position has come since the Croom era.

I was just thinking the same thing...I remember thinking no so long ago, if we would ever be able to complete a forward pass. Times have defiantly changed.

I like Morrow. I always thought some of the criticisms of him were a little excessive. Like you said, he just wasn't ready early to live up to what was really some unrealistic expectations.
Late this season we had to kick a guy off the team for a domestic violence incident. Ole Miss has a signee threatening to shoot up a bar. Morrow just dropped some passes. Big deal. He's a Bulldog and I hope he has a great year next year.
