Kentucky staff 1950's

I have a friend who played at Kentucky during Collier years

Blanton Collier era (1954-1961)

Cleveland Browns assistant Blanton Collier was hired to replace Bryant as head football coach at Kentucky in late 1953.[10] After completing his first season at Kentucky, Collier was named SEC Coach of the Year after posting a 7-2 record.[10] Collier's assistants during his tenure at Kentucky included the likes of Bill Arnsparger, Chuck Knox, Howard Schnellenberger, and Don Shula.[11]Blanton Collier era (1954-1961)

I would pay a lot of money to sit in a room and listen to that defensive staff and HC talk shop.

Tough to beat, but I'd sub in Lombardi as the OL coach. If you have ever seen to old NFL films footage of him teaching the pulling guards for a toss-sweep, you'll see why.

No Bear Bryant?

I don't think his ego would fit on my staff.

HC - Mike Holmgren - coaching tree - can manage this staff
OC- Bill Belichick (Holmgren tree)
DC- Nick Saban (Holmgren tree)
QB - Jim Harbaugh (Andy Reed assistant - tree)
OL - Andy Reid (Holmgren tree)
RB- Josh McDaniels (Saban GA, Belichick disciple)
WR- Jon Gruden (Holmgren tree)
DB- Ed Reed (Warrior. Players love him. Youth)
DL- Mike Tomlin (Gruden tree)
LB- Ray Lewis (same as Ed. Also need more than a couple black coaches on staff)

Enough expertise on this staff all of the same mold. You can't just throw the all time bests together and not have huge differences. Holmgren is the godfather and will be able to delegate to his own what is needed to succeed and flow. You can't just have one or two black coaches on a staff either for team dynamics. Just a fact. Solid expertise mixed with high energy leaders on this staff.

If trade out Harbaugh, McDaniels, and Ed Reed but that still may be the best modern day line up yet.
