Just looked up to see how bad our 3point shooting is, and it turns out we are shooting 27% from three which puts us dead last in the SEC and 332 out of 351 D1 schools. In addition, we are 342nd out of 351 D1 teams in 3 pointers made per game at 3.8 per game. Most high school teams make more than that. We are 332nd in 3 pointers taken per game at 14.

Is it that hard to find a shooter? In SEC games when we go 3-11 from three and other teams go 9-23 its gonna put us in a hole every time, as well as when we are down (which we will be) and are trying to come back on teams.

In this day and age where the 3 point shot is the equalizer in the college game it amazes me how we aren't using it to our advantage.

Fred, Ready, Daniels, and Dunlap have all proven at one point or another, whether it was high school, JUCO, or flashes this season, that they can shoot at a high level. But for whatever reason, Ray as only been able to inspire enough confidence in one out of those four guys (and it took him almost two years for Fred) to hit shots consistently. That's the main reason why Ray has lost me for the time being.

Our perimeter shooting in general is among the very worst I have ever seen on a college team. In hindsight, the loss of Colin Borchert from last year's team was really big because he could actually hit a perimeter shot from time to time.
