Could Renfroe be in the mix???

Hoping the Padres decide to go after Justin upton instead. I want Tyson Ross though

If I was SD, I'd get whatever I could for Renfroe

I'll alert the Padres front office. I'm sure they, both, know you and value your advice.

I'd be surprised if they trade Renfroe given their need for outfielders.

The trade with the Rays is supposedly for will Myers.

I just dont see him as a ML hitter that can hit .220...defensively? He would be great

That makes sense because they have a need for outfielders. But I would be surprised if they traded Renfroe to get Myers because that will basically keep them in the same spot and doesn't help them. Ultimately, I suspect that they are going to envision and want an outfield with both Myers and Renfroe in it for the future.

I know that the Padres were trying to trade Austin Hedges- or it seems like his name comes up a lot.

If he can hit 25 HRs/year and play above average defense, his BA won't matter too much.

He led the Arizona Fall League in home runs, which is an indicator that he will eventually have success at the MLB level most likely. His best asset is he has shown that he can adjust at every level- he has finished strong at each level he has been at.

well, he has started off at .230 in AA and only hit 5 HR's in 250 AB's...we'll see what happens come April

Padres also in on a Matt Kemp deal. What the hell they are thinking I don't know, not with SF and LA wrecking havoc currently.

Padres had a nice 2nd half last year going 36-31. They are a team on the rise with new ownership. Looks like they want to start competing financially now. SF has every look of a drop off year right now. They've made zero moves and have already lost valuable pieces from their WS roster. Sabean must still be partying.**

I think losing Sandoval is a killer. He was the glue to that lineup.

What really will be missed is his defense. Phenomenal defensive player.
