Opening for Lindgren?

Yankees closer David Robertson headed to the White Sox. Im sure Dellin Betances will be the closer but this might make a spot for Lindgren to open up in that pen.

I think Lindgren might have a spot anyway depending on how he does in spring training. I imagine they will probably bring him along slowly and start him out as a LOOGY and then progress from there.

They signed Andrew Miller to close. Betances is the 8th guy. Now if they go with a 7th guy that may be a spot. We gonna know real quick whether Lindy gonna make it as a pro.

I can't imagine a scenario where Lindgren doesn't either start the year in New York or at least find himself there very early in the year. He torched the minors last year, and they drafted him to contribute as soon as possible.

He had a few hiccups in AA. But you are correct overall- he will be up pretty soon.
