This is the damnedest thing. That school cannot develop their own QBs. Why would anyone pay a coach 4+ million dollars that needs EMCC to develop his QBs?

Again, as I've said in the past, I believe being able to develop QBs is the single greatest skill needed for a coach to have sustained success in Mississippi. If your always relying on others to develop your QB, you record will be a roller coaster, since your single most important position is always a wild card.

heard he just took a visit to LSU to throw for Cameron & Miles and they didn't offer him.

Well if Bucky can succeed by recruiting an already developed one then I guess that's all he needs. Its all about the Ws anyway, not QB development. The question is will Kelly be anywhere near as good as Wallace, only time will tell.

If he can just throw the ball forward he'll be an improvement on what they'll have next year.

In some ways you are correct, but this is what Sherrill ran into with JUCO guys. When you are relying on JUCO guy, you are putting all your eggs in one basket, with a guy thats never played for you or run your scheme. It's a wildcard, and I don't believe JUCO QBs are always plug and play type guys.

When you develop your own guy, there is much more confidence and uniformity in what the finished product will be. Much more consistency.

OM will live to regret this one, so obviously I applaud the move. If a guy has to be taken out of a facility by police/security when he learns he's not a starter (Clemson), it's obvious to me that he's the right kind of leader for OM. Get him into a couple of frat fights and let him throw some Natty Light empties in public and it will be like Bo never left.

Probably true, but possibly our all time best QB was a JC QB from Jones Jr College by the name of Jackie Parker.

As best as I can recall, as JUCO dependent as Jackie was, we never started a JUCO QB under him. Taite, then Wyatt/Madkin, and then Fant. And even their back-ups were guys that we got out of high school.

They don't recruit qbs very wisely.

Well, their strategy isn't very wise. They don't allow their QB's to be developed. They are always looking for the next free agent to plug in for immediate success. What they want is someone either with a big name like Masoli or they want a guy like from a big name school like Snead.

Maybe he can maybe he can't play at SEC level... Opinion.

He threw a fit , cursed out the Clemson coaching staff, destroyed things in the office and had to get police escort out of football facility, and oh BTW couldn't win the starting job at Clemson... Fact

I'll be the first to admit, I'd rather see the bears trot out Mr Jackson prep or the world's smallest SEC QB.

I hope kelly goes to LSU.

This
Wow. They better their defense can pitch a shut out every game or they are in trouble is a ridiculous post. Kelly may be a cancer, prima donna, asshole that will destroy a locker room. I hope he is. But one glance at an actual EMCC game -- or even just a stat line -- and it's easy to see that the kid can play. He threw 47TDs this year on 8Ints this year @ 67% completion percentage for 4,000 yards.

Engie is right boys. I saw Kelly play three times this year. He looks very proficient but not great. However, Buddy Stephens says Kelly is better than Wallace. I'd take Stephen's opinion over mine, and I don't have a low opinion of Kelly.

Kelly looks like he can play but also seems from everything i read that it is all about him which can cause problems with a team especially if it is the quarterback and leader with this attitude.

So what you're saying is that he'll fit right in at OM. When things are going well, he'll think he's the best QB in the SEC, and think he's proving all the 'haters' wrong. When things get tough, he'll claim that he knows how to party harder than Gronkowski...

He should be on his best behavior knowing that the next school he goes to will be his last shot
