Take it to the bank. Won't matter that we're higher-ranked. Won't matter that this year is different, and 12/31 is not a defining line. They will forever claim it so, in denial of the facts. Boards will be inundated for years by those poor, deluded fools about how they "got a New Year's Day Bowl, and we didn't.
