It would be nerve racking to be TCU, Ohio State, or Baylor fan right now. However, it would be better than being out of the conversation altogether as we are currently.

It looks like it will only take one year of the playoff to justify an 8 Team Playoff in the future. No doubt that you could make a case for 8 teams to make it. However, I think it's Bama's to lose.

Going to 8 won't help. Then you'd have MSU, Ole Miss, Mich State arguing for 8th spot. 32 teams is fair. Eliminate two OOC games if need be. 32 team tournament would be phenomenal.

If we were #4 right now we'd have to be hoping FSU loses. Even if they did I still think we'd be left out. It would really be hard to take if we were 11-1 with a loss to #1 and we were left out of the playoffs.

Both MSUs would be in unless the 8-team playoff had a rule that a non-power team had to get in, no matter what their ranking was. There would be very little debate.

Ohio State is not getting in. If the committee doesn't realize the Big 10 is a weaker conference than Big 12 then I'm sorry. OSU is 2-0 versus top 25 and lost at home to 6-6 VA Tech! They will not make the playoff. Baylor lost on the road to unranked but very good WVU but beat TCU head up and is now 3-0 vs top 25. Baylor deserves to be the fourth team in.

TCU was up 21 on Baylor at Baylor and lost by only 3. Home field is an automatic 3 points for the home team so that makes that score a push. TCU deserves it over Baylor.
