View Full Version : Folks on Rivals think D-Day's stomp was worse than Elston's late hit at DP's knees.

I can see why delusional TSUN fans would think this, but I really can't fathom why anyone else who's seen the clip could ever think Elston's wasn't WAY worse.

What Day did was at worst something that could hurt like hell. What Elston did was clearly an attempt to put Dak out of the game, even if it meant ending his career. And Elston's was so far after the whistle it was disgusting.

Has anyone heard whether or not the SEC is looking into that cheap shot?

And all those that think that can go 17 themselves.

There is a lot I would like to comment on this subject but I would get banned. Just say this, Ole Miss verse Vandy homecoming many years ago, we did not cheer that play and it was a spear in the back that caused that horrible injury.

I don't know how you can possibly argue that an action during a live play and one after the whistle are even in the same league as far as dirtiness and intent go.

I know how- you can be a stupid OMer that needs some sense knocked into them. There are tens of thousands not on that message board that suffer from the same delusion and need that firm knock in the skull.

Getting a cheap shot to the abdomen during a play worse than a cheap shot to the knee after a dead ball? That is just a moronic argument.

But what gets me is, the last time I checked, several from other schools were agreeing that Day's was dirtier. I think they just bought into the huge amount of hype that was generated about D-Day's play, a lot of which was brought about by Ole Miss fans.
