I saw the Ice Dawgs play last year. They didn't even have enough players for two full lines. They were horrible. I don't know what happened because a couple of years ago they were decent, or as decent as southern cub level teams get.

LOL, that's pretty good. That's not what a line means in hockey though. In hockey everybody on the team plays. A line is a unit of 5 players that are on the ice at the same time. Most NHL teams have 4, and they all play in shifts. If you don't have multiple lines players give out QUICK. I looked at MSU's roster, they appear to have 3-4 lines. They also appear to be winless.

It's a combo of two things I enjoy- hockey and State, but they do struggle. I don't think it helps that they have to travel to get any meaningful ice time, plus I imagine they get almost nothing from the school. It's a shame, but we support them- I and my wife both have State hockey jerseys.
