that's a half-a-million per win in his best season, that included 3 losses to teams that finished below them in the standings.

I need Sexton to negotiate my next contract.

Freezus has led Fredo to 3 straight finishes behind Younger Brother in the West. And gets a huge raise for it

I guess perception is worth that much to them. Can't have the head man leaving the program by his own choosing, no matter who it is. My question is what are they going to do to stay on top of perception if they go 6-6 or 7-5 the next two years?

Any news on his buy out?

If they don't find a qb before next season, they could have a really tough year

What sucks is this raises the price for everyone else. If Bucky can get that kind of bump for those kind of results, what is everyone else going to have to start paying?

I hope it's a $100 million... lol.

Talked to an OM acquaintance yesterday & mentioned the Rev's raise. He emphatically agreed that Sexton did a mighty fine job of playing OM like a fiddle.

I thought about that too. UK and Ole Miss have screwed the rest of the league by over paying for mid-tier and lackluster results.

I wish contracts were more incentive based

Would the Freezus contract be called "The All In Contract"?

The 2016 season will be the back breaker for Freeze. The schedule is pretty tough on paper. Next year could start the ball rolling down hill. It will be interesting to watch...the QB situation will tell the tale for next year.

Probably why Freeze is striking while the iron is hot. If Chad Kelly is a bust it's going to be all on the offensive guru and his fantastic QB development!

I agree he is a little overpaid...but that's just what they had to pay him to keep him.

I can't really talk smack about Ole Miss...they just whipped our ass.

No they didn't...that's the funny part. Beav wasn't going anywhere, he played Ole Miss. Ole Miss gave a huge raise to a Coach that got beat 30-0 by the last placed team in the division and finished middle of the pack in the West and below us.

Freeze should have tweeted a fish picture to go with that news. Bc he got Bjork hook, line, and sinker, ha

You realize that not even four years ago Freeze was making about $350,000 per year at A State. Now he will be making that per month!! Let that sink in for a minute

Taking a big contract like that will affect OM's assistant coaches. That's why Mullen didn't ask for more..... He'd rather pay his assistants to ensure that they will stay. OM doesn't have Bama money. They won't pay Womack and company 1M a year.

I repeat:

Finishing behind Mullen 3 straight years is worth $4.5MM

I get your cynicism but the guy did beat every team in the West division in 3 years ... Dan can't claim that in no less than 7 yrs

Apparently they are getting additions of around 1 mil for assistant pool...

And that matters why?

Its about out where you finish. Bottom line. What good does it do to beat the top 2 in the West but then lose to the 4th, 5th and last place team?
