Very interested to see how this team comes out any plays tonight. This win would go a long way in helping us get to a postseason tournament. Really want to see if there is some fire after a boring performance the other night and with Sword back seeing how long he can play and what impact he can have.

Having subs with size and an athletic 3-man that is 6'8" totally changes the dynamic of this team this year. If we stay healthy, we could have an exciting season.

DudyDawg
11-28-2014, 10:10 PM
Our offense goes through too many dry spells. We need more four out motion and screening with curls fades and back cuts. We end up bouncing the ball five times between passes hoping someone just gets open by themselves.

Our defense is very impressive tho. Long, athletic, play hard, Creating turnovers

Saltydog
11-28-2014, 10:12 PM
I know we're prolly playing a little above our heads right now but there's no doubt this team is better. They're bigger, longer and more athletic. Our shooting has definitely improved and we still hustle and play solid D. Too bad we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle (Zuppardo). Rick Ray is doing a heck'uva job and he's doing something Stans never could, DEVELOP players.

I'm stunned Roq Johnson is able to contribute like he has. A few years ago I was hoping he would free up a scholarship and transfer. Now he's our leading scorer averaging 16 points a night. Amazed at that because he has become a solid starter and contributor for this team. Props to Ray for his development.

Commentators are gushing over Fred, and rightfully so. 14 points on 100% shooting, including 3/3 from 3, and making things happen on the defensive end. Yeah, the same guy someone among us has been screaming we should cut the last two years. Daniels is looking good too, I think he's going to really pour it on as he builds some confidence over these early games.

6'11" Ndoye just put the ball on the floor and drove from the perimeter for a score. This team still has some rough spots and is still going to struggle at times this year, but we've got a lot more talent than a lot have been giving us credit for.

But it was awkward according to the announcer. I thought he looked pretty good. Long stride and kept the ball in the correct hand away from the defender. Went strong and got up to get the bucket. He's definitely got a lot to work on but he's got some raw basketball talent no question.

I've been impressed with our depth tonight. first time I've been able to say that about a Rick Ray team. We played 10

thf24
11-28-2014, 11:37 PM
For my token criticism tonight, I was a little unhappy about how unwilling we were to throw it down low from the perimeter. Many times we had Ware in good position down on the block, but for whatever reason, we chose to either pass it back to the top or even skip pass to the opposite corner, which seemed like a much more dangerous option. Didn't hurt us too bad though, so no real harm there.

Great performance tonight. We're still a little rough around the edges, but we showed a ton of talent and athleticism tonight that many were either not giving us credit for or just unaware of. Pretty sure I remember one of you calling Daniels nothing more than an undersized garbage man about a month ago.
