Well, guess we've got one extra open spot we didn't think we would have. Hope he has better luck at GA than the last couple of MS guys that went over there.

Will we look for another wr? Will we just let him go or keep recruiting?

He was gonna be a safety here. I don't know what UGA's plans are but he started his transition into a DB over the summer. I'm shocked by this.

He was a safety. We're not going to go after another safety. I hate to lose Jarvis he's a good kid who's a good Ath but he was our 3rd safety. We'll use this spot on an extra OL or DL.

Blake Barnes says bad move. Whatever, hope he does well there.

What's the back-story here? I understand that othe Tupelo coach had a hand in it, but we were his first offer and there must be more to it.

If this coach pushed an in state commit to an out of state team, there should be repercussions. I'm not sure what we can do, but there has to be something. HS coaches in miss shouldn't cross mullen or freeze in favor of an out of state program

There is only one more that is likely to flip soon. Other than that we are in good shape. Expect one more though within the next two weeks.. don't freak out when it happens. not a huge loss by any means. The best of this class is 100 percent commited.

He's friends with Jonathan Abrams, a Georgia commit who is also from Mississippi and that was a lot of it.

From the obviously informed poster on here a few days ago that I think also visited Paul's site sounds like GA simply sold him on the fact that he wouldn't have to redshirt there and he knows here we try to redshirt as many as we can.

That said, safety is a totally new position for him from what I gather so good luck either getting redshirted at GA after all or fighting to be on special teams to see the field. Another one to watch and see how it turns out. Historically we've been more grateful than regretful in these types of situations when we look back at it 4 years down the road.

Care to speculate?

I'm guessing we didn't even offer Abrams - never heard of the guy and it's pretty odd for a guy from East Marion and Tupelo to be big buds. To each their own and wish him well enough except when we cross paths with Georgia.

We'll definitely be fine here. I wish him well we're on to the next position of need.

Wilson's change of heart may have had something to do with Peters and Mclaurin. J/S.

He won't beat out the 2 safeties in UGA's 2015 class. They will probably attempt to convert him to a nickel of some sort.

Btw, most players have the choice to redshirt at MSU.

Posts like this are pointless.. Either say the name or keep it to yourself

Who is this coach?
Or what did you hear about a coach?

I don't know who he's talking about because everyone seems pretty solid. Hell, all of the Alabama recruits are trying to enroll early so I don't see them flipping.

Well, last time a Wilson went from us to UGA, it was a positive for us, so hopefully this will be the same.

he'll go into UGA and play immediately. Fools gold and Hammond's sorry ass should tell him that.

I bet we are making space for the recruits that want to jump on to the Bulldawg bandwagon. Good luck to this kid. No repercussions on the coach…
