It's the name "ole miss". What other school has two official names? That's what confuses people. They think Mississippi and ole miss are separate so MSU must be ole miss. Living in GA I couldn't tell you how many people say, "is that ole miss". These people are morons, especially those in SEC country, but this is the root of the problem.
