By their very nature, Rebels are Rebelling. For good or ill, they tend to go against the authority that's in place at the time. Some rebellions are good and noble: The American Revolution, Texas Independence, the Fall of the Iron curtain, etc.

Some are out of arrogance, self-righteousness, and idiocy- The French and RUssian Revolutions (with their subsequent bloodbaths), Rebels going against America, ie, the 19th Century Jane Fondas.

This second group has as its inspiration, the First Rebel. This Rebel turned his back on the Greatest, Mightiest, Holiest, Eternal God...why? Cause he thought he could do things better. In other words, the first Rebel was SATAN!

So, if you want to cheer for a team with its roots in Satan, be my guest. However, as for me and my family, we will serve God, America, and Mississippi State!!!
