We've been sub-leasing rack space in a data center colocation facility for several years. The business partner of the guy we've been sub-leasing space from got into a huge dispute with the colocation facility. Just like the phone company, or cable company, when you dispute, they cut your service off. We ended up basically in a hostage situation. We were not involved in this in any way, other than being disconnected from the network. We were fortunately able to persuade the colocation facility to release our server to us last night so that we could make different arrangements.
Again, we apologize for the week long outage, it was beyond our control. We are in a much better position in the new facility, and we should not have that problem again.
While it's only vcash, we have given every user an additional $500 in cash to have some vfun with. Thanks again for your patience.
On to OMAHA!
