As "The Flagship University" in the state. In recent weeks I have heard Freeze and a few players say it, then this morning Bjork makes reference on his weekly Game Day video, and the media relations director said it when referencing their chancellor undergoing cancer treatment saying he will continue to lead the flagship university of our state from an office set up at UMC. Really?

It's pretty weak and annoying at the same time.

If I had to guess its in response to Our State, Stark Vegas, HE15MAN, Hail State, HA1L STATE, inaugural #1 ranked team, 4 out of 5, what am I missing?

Once again, they don't even recruit regular students well from Mississippi. Out of state students keep them relevant.

Yeah Shep Smith brought it up today. I agree that they are coming across as desperate and sad. Trying so hard to be nationally relevant. So does every state's namesake university such as Bama or Georgia, etc. refer to themselves as the "flagship"? If so, I haven't noticed.

Bucky, already have two Bear friends conceding The Egg Bowl. Now, too early for that, but after the Arkansas game it could be more than they can handle. For us, one game at a time.
