How is Ole Miss over LSU>?

We need Michigan State to lose to Ohio State & we need Kansas State to beat TCU.

We also may need to cheer for Ole Miss to beat Arkansas, so that the Egg Bowl will be considered a quality win, should we need it.

A couple of observations: LSU's losses are to #1 and #3 and they beat #11. Bama's loss is to #11 and their best win is over #23.

How is Ole Miss over LSU>?

I thought about this as well, and it means that the committee is making "How you play" part of the equation.

Ole Miss lost two games at the buzzer, and LSU got blown out twice.

This is good for us though, if we were to lose at Bama.

We're number 1 on game control.
We're number 1 on schedule strength.

OM has lost their best offensive player for the season. If they're projecting a win over Arky and The best team in Mississippi, they're mistaken. Arkansas is going to do a beat down on that front 7.

good question.

2 loss Ole Miss is better than a 2 loss LSU even though they lost to them head to head??? That's garbage.

Although I know we won't, we may need to cheer for Ole Miss in that game. We need the Egg Bowl to be a big victory or a good loss. If Ole Miss loses to Ark, it's neither

It means they are valuing the game now and not just looking at things as wins and losses. The quality of Ole Miss' losses are much greater than LSU

It's hard to explain how HUGE that Bama game is in 2 weeks. I can't sleep at night thinking about it.

Hopefully Dak and Jameon are sitting somewhere right now, with legs up in the air(in boot) resting, getting ready.

If you do it with loses, shouldn't you do it with wins? They "buzzer beat" Alabama, so should that be discounted?

disagree. LSU lost to #1 and #3. Ole Miss lost to #3 and #16.

I don't really care about style points but that's the only half assed argument you could begin to have considering that LSU just whipped Ole Miss's butt two weekends ago.

wait, you're pimpin UTAH?

eh kay.

don't get me wrong, I think ASU is a decent FB team... I just don't think a 5 point jump to #9 was warranted, is all.

In fact, there should be a rule that anyone that gives up 62 in a loss to UCLA shouldn't be ranked...

at all....

You're making the mistake of basing this week on last week. The committee isn't. It could be that they felt last week Arizona State was good enough to be higher but needed one more win to solidify it. It's not 'beating Utah = 5 spot jump'.

LSU got skulldrug by the #1 and #3 teams. Ole Miss lost by a combined 7 points in their two games. Get over the Ole Miss bias here. Yea, LSU beat Ole Miss, but it was in DV and it was by a FG. If y'all are arguing about that, you should be pissed about TCU being ranked way over Baylor.

But if you are looking at quality, a field goal, four turnovers, and three dropped int's.

But if you are looking at quality, a field goal, four turnovers, and three dropped int's.

And a fumbled, broken ankle at the 1 inch line to be 8-1. Ole Miss has looked better than LSU. Just as TCU has looked better than Baylor. There is not one set criteria, and you can't use head to head exclusively because games aren't played on a neutral site.

LSU/Ole Miss is not the same as Oregon/MSU where Oregon won by 29.

CadaverDawg
11-04-2014, 11:04 PM
IMO, I think all of y'all may be wrong on why OM is higher. The committee seems to value quality wins....OM beat #6 Bama, and LSU beat #12 OM. Those are probably looked at before who they each lost to.

It is amazing how TCU makes two or three plays at the end of a game and gets all these accolades from Lou Holtz etc. I'm just so excited that we've still got a chance. I don't give two shits about what happens between OM and dem pigs. We're driving our own bus in every single way.
