Has had 4 catches for 48 yards and no TDs the past two weeks. I know he had a few drops at Kentucky, but he seems to be getting a few less targets. I think that needs to change for us to beat Bama

He's getting double-teamed since we don't have Jameon as a threat.

Teams have been really focusing on him. Hopefully, by us targeting other guys, the coverage will roll over some.

A part of it could be defenses paying more attention to him after his big start.

You make a good point...

Why is Ole Miss losing Treadwell so much bigger of a deal than us losing Jameon?

Afterall, both guys were their team's leading receivers last season.

I agree. I dont remember us using any screens to Gabe last week either, which negates Bear's effectiveness in blocking, which I think gets him going also.

Because OM doesn't have a big home run threat except for Treadwell.

Oh.... Gotcha**

I thought they recruited a bunch of top notch receivers?

Bc Jameon, in all fairness, isn't first round talent

Well some of it is we don't cry about injuries to anyone that will listen.

Gabe is itching to break one. If it weren't for a bad pass it would have happened Saturday.

I understand, and in no way am I discounting how big it is to not have Tubby. But that's why Treadwell is more talked about

He ran a beautiful corner route on the second play of the game. Dak hits him in stride he's either getting 6 or getting very close to the goal line. I think that play would have changed the entire game. Instead of failing on our first drive and looking awful in the 1st quarter, we respond right back there and score a TD. Would have made the game very very different I believe.

I think he meant coming into the season and before he got hurt he was Dak's go to target. At least that's how I took it.

I may be in the minority, but I feel like we need Jameon against Bama to move the chains. He's just so damned reliable in the middle of the field and helping us to pick up tough yards. I do think Bear will be able to put some pressure on Bama's young corners, we'll see what matchups he gets. As long as Fred Ross and MoJo can get involved though, even if Bear is shutdown we'll probably be ok. I'd just feel better with Jameon's playmaking ability and finding those seams in the Bama secondary.

Bear will get plenty of action in the Bama game.
