Other game that they are considering is Auburn v. Georgia

It's like a catch 22. I don't want us playing there at night, but I also don't want to hear Gary/Verne ramble on for another 4 hours about how bad we really are and how great Alabama really is.

If it's CBS I'll have to watch with the TV volume down and radio on.

WWL radio does a Saints broadcast that is synced with the tv. It ain't gonna happen with the State broadcast down here. They could probably do it in Starkville though.

Y'all know it's gonna be CBS. Verne has to say Zach Prescott some more.

When was the last time we played Alabama during the day? Either way, I'll be there in a sea of crimson rootin for my bulldogs!

I feel your pain. I don't know if I can take another game listin to Gary and Verne. That KY game was horrible and just think how much they are going to be pro Bama.

I don't care if we play Bama at 3:00 AM, we are going to walk into that stadium ready to whip that ass. You cannot defeat the enemy on your turf. You must take the war to their soil in order to destroy them.

This would have made sense if Georgia would have beaten Florida. But they didn't and it's obvious the Alabama/MSU game will be the biggest game that day. Don't know why you need the six day option to see that.

I guess they want to go the other way if Bama gets destroyed in Red Stick.

Jim Ellis approves.

I prefer the night game honestly. The home night crowd is a lot more worrisome for me when we are playing at an upset-minded school such as Kentucky or Arkansas. When you play Bama, it doesn't matter what time it is, you just gotta play your best because they play the same at every time of the day.

They are waiting on the Bama-LSU outcome

I hope it's a night game because if it is that mean LSU beat them & their chances at a national championship are gone. Bama is programmed to win championships & when they don't have that type of importance on the line they tend to not show up near as much.GEAUX TIGERS!!

easier to win in T-Town during the day- this is the one time I actually want a 2:30 game

It honestly won't matter that much, but I'd rather play them at 2:30.

I get this, but under what circumstance is UGA vs Auburn a bigger game than Bama vs MSU?

Even if MSU lost to TN Martin and Bama lost to LSU, MSU vs Bama still has more at stake.

I don't really get this 6 day option by CBS

I think CBS loves the traditional "rivalry" games. See UF-UGA last week. They are holding out hope that somehow they can justify showing the "oldest rivalry in the South" (AU-UGA).

Must be because it doesn't make any sense from a "Road to the Playoff/SEC Championship" prespective

I imagine we'll end up on CBS. I'd kinda rather play them in the day. Doesn't really matter that much.

does CBS still have the "no team can be on CBS more than 5 times" rule? If so picking our game would be Bama's 5th appearance this season. That would mean CBS couldn't pick up the Iron Bowl.

That's the answer. Pencil in ESPN now.

Unreal, so we have to play a night game at Bama all because CBS blew their load?

Pathetic

Well... CBS did want the 6 day option, so that means they are seriously considering us and Bama. I think CBS may be making a statement that they are willing to give up the Iron Bowl if MSU/Bama is truly for the SEC West title.
