Yeah that makes sense.

I might not wanna see Fsu anyway. Even when you pressure Winston, he still throws perfect passes. I think he'd be a tough matchup for our defense. He's one hell of a qb

Quaoarsking

What does this do to ND?

It's a killer. The Committee appears to be putting a high value on head-to-head results, meaning Notre Dame is going to be behind Florida State unless FSU loses again (unlikely), and that's even if they beat USC and Arizona State.

A loss here and FSU is a longshot at best for the playoff.

a loss here increases the odds of a 2nd sec team tremendously. i'd think if we lost a close game @bama, we'd still be ahead of f$u. i think a 1 L non-sec champ of msu or auburn would be ahead of a 1 L acc or big 10 champ.

HAVE SOME FREAKING AWARENESS and stop playing street ball. Ridiculous and uncalled for

ShotgunDawg
10-30-2014, 08:30 PM
It absolutely drives me up a freaking wall when defensive players try to act like heroes with the ball in their hands.

1. If you get a turnover and there is open grass ahead of you, then run

2. Once there is not longer open grass ahead of you GET DOWN AND PROTECT THE BALL! You are not used to carrying the football. the most important thing when we get a turnover is for us to have the ball.

Florida State would not be a top 5-6 SEC team. They have a ton of holes. They are not better than the top 4 in west, UGA and possibly LSU. Rank would be. MSU, auburn, Bama, UGA, OM them LSU/FSU battling it out for 6th and 7th. A part of me hates that those criminal bastards will get a playoff spot, but another part of me is happy they will and hope we get to play them. It may be over at halftime of they had to face a real defense.

Intramural All-American
10-30-2014, 10:31 PM
Here's my fear: FSU has a ton of talent, they just aren't playing well at this point. I'm worried that they coast through the rest of their joke of a schedule and that talent starts gelling together. Then a team that should have been beaten 2 or 3 teams early in the season makes the playoff and are actually a really good team at that point. Hate the guy all you want, which I do, but Jameis Winston is the best QB in college football.

ETA: I'm not calling this to happen, but it wouldn't shock me.

I want no part of Winston. He's got a phenomenal arm. He is so dangerous when he rolls left or right because he doesn't need to set his feet and he can still throw it 60 yards on a dime.

I think 1A would stand a good chance. When understanding how our defense matches up with other offenses, it is extremely crucial to be able to compartmentalize the difference between our two personnel groups.

Our front seven will be just fine vs FSU it's the back four that I worry about. With his arm strength and ability to roll and throw he is no doubt going to connect on multiple deep throws on us.

I'll say what I said on Twitter. That Louisville team looked like the old Mississippi State. That Mississippi State that played hard and competed with anybody, but didn't have the mojo to step up and make a play when it was needed.

And I was disappointed in Petrina in the 4th Q. With the lead, he tried to run clock instead of running the offense. Running teams can do that. Teams that have to change identities to run clock can't.
