With us returning 4 starters, having a full roster 7 new players on our roster and the third year in the Rick Ray system why is it that EVERY preseason magazine and website has us predicted dead last 14th in the SEC this season??? Is the SEC getting that much better or are we just that bad again?

Why wouldn't they pick us last? I mean from their perspective, what player do we have returning or being added to the roster that would make them think "NOW MSU will be much better"? We may be much better, I don't know, but I can certainly see why preseason prognosticators aren't believers that we will be.

Where they pick us is of no relevance. Where we actually finish when the games are played is what matters.

we weren't ranked to start the season in football..

I forgot who it was, maybe Warren Nolan, but we were predicted like 7th I think.
