This is the question on Bo Bounds this morning and since I am too yellow to call in myself, I think it's a pretty good discussion for here.

Rank the SEC QBs in order of which you would want to take over for Dak, if he were hurt, suspended for autographs, or got caught breaking the honor code by taking a picture with a pornstar that he was dating.

1. Dak - This is obvious

2. Towles - Towles' tool set in our offense would be SICK! He runs plenty well enough to keep that threat, but our ability to stretch the field would be unrivaled in college football.

3. Marshall - Marshall brings more to the running game than Towles, but the passing game drops dramatically. Towles wins out because we don't need a running homerun hitter at QB for our offense to succeed. It's more important for us to have a guy that extends drives and makes short yardage situations and redzone situations almost automatic. Towles would do this better than Marshall while also creating some serious problems for defenses through the passing game.

4. Sims - Sims has a nice mix of run & pass, and would greatly benefit from Mullen's coaching. I think he could be dynamic for us, although some development would be needed.

5. Wallace - I'm kinda hesitant to put this one down because I don't want his attitude or leadership abilities anywhere near my team, but, due to lack of contestants, I feel somewhat forced to include him.

What say you?

Fitzgerald with 20 more lbs is a Towles clone. I know him very well and have had the privilege of watching Nick play since he was eight yrs old. I couldn't help but think "this kid plays just like Nick" the entire game last Saturday.....

If Nick Fitzgerald or Staley is anything like Patrick Towles and have some intangibles, we are going to be awesome

1. Dak

2. Marshall - Great talent, better passer than given credit, only downside is character/locker room

3. Dobbs - Recruited by Mullen, still young but would prosper in our system

4. Sims - Meets all the checkmarks, a rich man's Dak (Can't call Bama a poor man) just not as talented at passing or running

5. Towles - Great passer, not as mobile as the others, had not run before we faced him and we did not adjust well
