I think he just announced he is retiring at the end of the year.
this comes from a coach on his staff just a few minutes ago.

Mullen to Madison Central?

Not sure, he's a Yankee and Scientologist, and therefore probably couldn't recruit.

General case of VEGOW: VICTORY ENTITLEMENT GONE WRONG. This becomes a problem at places like Madison Central, LSU, Florida. The grandfathered in students are all but gone and now they have to compete with Germantown. The dynasty is over due to demographics and Hall is getting out now.

I bet he stays on as AD and hand picks his successor... Brad Peterson is a definite strong possibility... There are alot of younger head coaches that he coached or is really tight with that will have a real shot if Peterson doesnt want it

IF these rumors are true, I think this is what happens. Hall puts a lot of time, resources, and fund raising for the "minor sports". Parents of soccer, swimming, volleyball, softball, etc., really like Hall's backing of their sports. Winning the All Sports Trophy is HUGE to Hall and as a result he supports the non-football teams. I see Hall at "minor" sport competitions more than any other AD.

To be sure, football is Hall's primary focus. But he really seems to enjoy the AD role.
