No mulligan - you can't lose head to head. You lose the tie breaker and, based on last night, it's pretty clear that the committee values head to head. A loss to either 1 loss teams left on the schedule would jeopardize the West and playoff chances.

Yes, we will need both OM and Bama to lose another one for us to go 1-1 against moth of them. No way we stay ahead of either one if we lose to them and they only have 1 loss. Thankfully both of them still have to play auburn. Auburn should knock one of them off and have a good chance for knock both off for us. In that scenarios we still have to win 11. Too many influential games left at this point to feel certain about shy scenario. This weekend will help sort things out as OM and the barn will eliminate one team.

What your not accounting for is that, if we beat Bama or Ole Miss, our resume would be infinitely better than any other one loss team. We would be the 4th team or higher in the playoff. Auburn and Ole Miss are 3 & 4 right now with a loss, and our 1 loss resume would be better than theirs.

If we lose to Bama and beat Ole Miss, then Bama goes to the SECCG. They beat UGA and we are the 2nd team in the playoff

If we beat Bama and lose to Ole Miss, then we either already have the SEC West wrapped up when we go to Oxford, and thus only need to beat UGA in the SECCG to go to the playoff or Ole Miss goes to the SECCG and we are sitting there as a one loss team with wins over, Auburn, at Bama, and at LSU, and a loss AT Ole Miss. This resume would be the best in the country. We would still be in the playoff.

Yes, there is a circumstance where losing to either Bama or Ole Miss knocks us out of the playoff, but more than likely, it won't. If Ole Miss loses a game before the Egg Bowl, it definitely won't

Maybe I need to be more clear. After the entire regular season (and SEC championship game) if we lose 0 or 1 game we are in the final four. period
