I think we all knew that. Glad CBS put it out on the national media, though.

MSU has had several good teams in the past that went 6-5 or 5-6 due to our schedule alone. We have always played bama, auburn, LSU, OM at the end of the season and were so beat up by the end, we were done. Similar to AR this year, put them in the ACC and the are competitive in every game.

Awesome to start with, then you get to this when talking about it's current projection for MSU:

"just a 35 percent chance of winning against Alabama in Tuscaloosa"

Suurrrlly we have a little better shot than that... Surly.

ESPN's FPI is still predicting us to lose to both Bama and UM. They give us a 32.6% chance of winning in Tuscaloosa and a 36.9% chance in Oxford. http://espn.go.com/college-football/team/fpi?id=344&year=2014

away games to top 5 teams? Yeah, you're supposed to lose those. You're also supposed to lose to a top 10 LSU team at tiger stadium at night.

35% shot equates to two relatively even teams with the extra 15% going to the home team. Not a big deal in my opinion.
