Heisman race. Mariotta had 5 TD passes last night. Let's hope Dak has a HUGE day today.

Lot of ball left to be played. He doesn't have to match Mariota's numbers....voters realize that we have a thing called "defense" in the SEC.

5TDs against the worst PPG defense of all power five schools. I'm not worried.

Harder for a west coast guy to win.... more voters on east coast, they dont stay up that late.

out west, I think they let their grad assts. run the defenses. They just don't play defense and I think voters take that into account.

Focus on winning the SEC. The rest (Heisman, Playoff, etc) will take care of itself. If we win the SEC, Dak will have a lot more quality wins than Mariotta (LSU, Auburn, Alabama, UM, and Georgia).

That said, if Dak plays within himself and takes what they give him, he should account for 4 or 5 TD's today.

Believe it or not voters WANT to give it to Dak. I mean, how could you not: great guy, leader, touching story, underdog. Mariota, while by all accounts is a great guy, just seems like the boring/default pick.

All of that to say, Dak just needs to keep winning. It is very unlikely that he will keep up statistically with Mariota... But if he beats Bama in T-town... Stats really wont matter.

Seriously... That is statistically by far the worst defense in all of the Power 5. It would be pathetic if Mariota DIDN'T have a big game.

He has played 2 more games than Dak. Marcus has 29 tds. Dak has 23. Marcus has over 2500 total yards. Dak has over 2000.

The stats will be dead even at the end of the year.
