Kentavious Thomas and Baldwin (4-3, 2-1) travel to the bustling metropolis of Perry to take on the Perry Panthers (1-7, 0-4) in a region tilt. Perry is on the outskirts of Warner Robbins, and has always suffered from that. Better players get sucked away to the higher profile programs - not that high schools in Georgia would ever recruit players cough, cough... They have had some talent over the past few years - Dontarriuos Thomas (LB at Auburn, then Min. Vikings) and Casey Hayward (CB at Vandy and now Green Bay), but they haven't won much. This should be an opportunity for Kentavious to build on his last game - a strong performance against West Laurens, where carried the ball 21 times for 104 yards with 2 TD's.
Trey Derouen and the Parkview Panthers (3-4, 2-3) travel to face the Shiloh Generals (1-6, 0-5). At this point, Parkview is all but out of playoff contention and is working to build some respect. They have matched last year's win total and have this week and 2 more games to make some noise. Shiloh is good candidate for Parkview to bounce back against. Shiloh has never had a particularly strong program - outside of the years they were led by UGA great David Pollack - and this season has been tough on them. Hopefully Trey and Parkview can take advantage of it.
