Does anyone know the latest on his situation? At one time it seemed to be a Kentucky / MSU thing and the last few months it seems Ole Miss, TAMU, LSU , etc have put the sales pitch on him .

Just curious if he has narrowed things down or if it's still pretty wide open as to where Malik will sign

He can wait until April if he wants

Latest 24/7 Crystal Ball choices have been to MSU. In fact, 11 out of the last 13 have been to MSU. So take that FWIW

We must be looking at different pages. His latest 247 crystal ball is 55% Kentucky and 32% MSU

Look at the date of the predictions. Almost all of those Kentucky predictions were from a while ago

You're looking at the total crystal ball numbers. Scroll through and see the individual crystal balls. Latest one was yesterday.

How about their national basketball recruiting expert picking MSU. Prestigious enough for you?

Yeah, if he actually looked at it rather than searching out a negative, he'd see that it actually includes 4 of the top 5 pickers on 24/7....

Why would he do that shit Engie? It would mean that there is some positivity about Ray and its a good sign for the basketball program??? **** that shit- let's talk about Stands getting a commit in Texas for A&M

One thing I can say with 100% certainty- Malik Newman is not going to sign with A&M

Did you even read his post? He said 11 of the last 13 picked MSU. Good grief.

Malik is signing in late signing period. He will be able to see what kids declare for draft and what coaches could possibly be moving also. He will likely take all 5 official visits as well. He really has not narrowed down his list to date but dad may have. He has said before he wants to play for a winning program with other talented players and get a shot at NCAAs.

If we win 20 games, I think we sign him.

I want to sign Malik just as much as anyone . I'm also aware that he was at Kentucky last weekend with 5 other McDonalds All Americans for midnight madness hangin out with the rapper Drake . I don't see how anyone thinks he is an MSU lean at this point, crystal balls and all

So you're backing off your previous assertion that he's an MSU lock?

... Yes. Repeatedly. Here are a few examples:

Cant wait to see him in maroon and white. He'll have a good coach too to help him get better for the NBA also. Good time to be a Dawg

It's a done deal

When you had the rush of people crystal balling him to State- I heard it was done. I haven't heard anything else on it since except that Kennedy and crew were trying to make a push. I'll see what somebody knows

Coming from Coach, this is about as close to a "Yes, you were right", as you will ever see.

Ha, yep.

Either way, I say let him take all the time he needs. I think the longer it goes, the better chance we'll have. Kentucky is more likely to run out of scholarships than we are.

I know anyone would make room for him, but it could affect recruiting at least.

I've been so busy with work and football stuff- I haven't given a shit about basketball and asked anybody anything about it lately
