I always thought his td stats were inflated. He always seemed to run his own offense. 1st and goal from the 2 and he will try at least 2 passes. There is a reason why his team never seems to have a great rb. I think it is purely from he trusts himself rather than give a rb the ball.

Bingo, but that's what makes him so great. A QB with above average ability who can effectively call his own plays is the ultimate weapon.

E. James disagrees.

E. James disagrees.

E James rushing for 1000 yard on the Colts would have been 1500 on most other teams. He also had his TDs cut by about a 1/3 from TE catching 3 yard TD passes. At the end of the day, Peyton is probably the most intelligent QB to play the game. He is basically his own Off Coord but he is successful for the most part. There is a reason Peyton only has 1 ring. Great teams still have to run the ball.

Peyton is awesome, but for me it was more fun watching Favre.

than watching Peyton. From that standpoint, it's not even close.

I agree. Peyton is a technician, Favre was a gunslinger. Very clear which one of those descriptions has more entertainment value.

Peyton and Brady are probably the best at taking apart a defense ever. Those 2 guys are amazing reading defenses.

agree, but Peyton deserves the record. he's earned it and worked for it.

I feel confident in saying no one will ever out work Peyton.
